Our swimming pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day to our residents and their guests. Please read and obey all posted rules for your safety and others.

Linkside Cove Boardwalk:

Our boardwalk is adjacent to the creek that empties into the Nansemond River. The path features a walkway where you can watch nature up close. Be careful during the summer to watch out for snakes.

The Riverfront Bike and Walking Paths:

Since we are part of our larger Riverfront and Harbour View communities we have access to most of the amenities throughout the area. The Bike and Walking paths extend along the sides of all the major roadways in The Riverfront for miles of enjoyable bike riding or a refreshing jog. Also, new to our community is the walking path that encircles Eagle Lake which is approximately 1 mile per lap; perfect for those warm afternoons and refreshing spring & summer mornings. (Please remember to stay off the golf course.)

The Riverfront Canoes:

Want to spend a day paddling along the Nansemond River? All you need to do is visit the Suffolk UPA Office (Harbour View side) and tell them you are interested in taking out a canoe and provide them with a valid I.D. showing you are a resident in our community. You will be provided a key and all the details for having an enjoyable day exploring the creeks and beaches along the river.Be sure to call ahead during the summer, there are only 3 canoes and they are first come first serve. Note: Gate access code is posted in the Resident-Only section of the website.

The Riverfront Volleyball and Tennis:

We have access to the volleyball and tennis courts at the Riverfront Swim Club. Please be sure to contact the Suffolk UPA Office first to confirm availability and to obtain the details for having an enjoyable day on the court!

The Riverfront Parks & Common Areas:

I am sure you have noticed the amazing lush parks throughout our communities. They are first come first serve if you are planning a small gathering or just want to have a nice picnic. Please remember there is no fishing allowed at either of the riverfront parks.Plans are underway to prevent non-residents from accessing the piers; so take a blanket and a picnic basket for a quiet evening at the park! During the summer keep your eyes open for live performances at the lakefront amphitheater in Bill Jesse Park. Come relax to the sounds of local musicians. Note: Gate access code is posted in the Resident-Only section of the website. No skateboards allowed in the community parks. View: Bill Jessee Park Rules
